Chief Engineer's license or certificate with experience on similar sized vessels. In-depth knowledge of marine diesel engines, generators, and other onboard systems. Experience managing and supervising engineer staff. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

The Chief Engineer oversees the maintenance and operation of the vessel's engines, mechanical systems, and electrical equipment.
