General Maintenance Technician

REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent; Vocational, technical, or trade training in General Maintenance, Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, HVAC, or a related field is preferred. At least two (2) years of relevant maintenance, construction, or technical experience. Previous experience in General Maintenance, construction, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical work, or a related field. Practical troubleshooting and repair skills. Basic Knowledge of building and facility maintenance. Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools. Ability to follow maintenance schedules, instructions, and safety procedures. Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and willingness to do hands-on work. Ability to work independently and effectively as a part of a maintenance team. Ability to recognize maintenance problems and promptly report issues requiring further attention. PREFERRED: Experience in a hotel, restaurant, commercial facility, industrial facility, resort or marine environment. Experience in basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC or refrigeration maintenance. Welding and fabrication experience. Experience maintaining pumps, generators, mechanical equipment or commercial kitchen equipment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work for extended periods in various facility and maintenance areas. Lift, carry, and handle maintenance tools, equipment, materials, and supplies within reasonable job requirements. Work in confined, elevated, mechanical, and other maintenance areas where safe and appropriate. Work on docks, stairs, access areas, and other areas of the floating restaurant/vessel. Work indoors and outdoors and in varying weather and environment conditions. Perform hands-on maintenance activities requiring physical effort and use of tools and equipment.

The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing day-to-day maintenance, repairs, upkeep, and preventative maintenance across PCCL's assigned facilities and operational properties, including the corporate office, staff dormitory, and Sakura Restaurant. The position works under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and performs hands-on maintenance and repair work involving carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, painting, mechanical systems, fixtures, equipment, and general building maintenance. The Technician also assists with inspections, servicing, facility improvements, and specialized contractor activities as assigned.
